LPGA Tour: Atthaya Thitikul fires opening round 63 for tournament record

Atthaya Thitikul's opening round of 9-under 63 set a tournament record at the BMW Ladies Championship at Oak Valley Country Club in South Korea, and boosted her chances for the Rolex Player of the Year award. Currently, Thitikul leads the Rookie of the Year race and a win here in South Korea should take Jin Young Ko's #1 spot at the Rolex Rankings. Meanwhile, Ko, who took 2 months off to heal a bum wrist, struggled after scoring an 80 and made a 10 on the par-5 18th after a wayward tee shot while recording six bogeys.
