After seven birdie, Jerry Kelly posted a 7-under 65 to grab the lead heading into the 3rd round of the 2022 Dominion Energy Charity Classic. Kelly is not the longest hitter on tour and was faced with using his 3-iron a couple times Friday, but he’s good with that. He has 3 wins this season and a 4th would tie Steve Stricker for the 2022 Champions season high. Tied at 2nd are Joe Durant, Glen Day, Bob Estes and Miguel Angel Jimenez; all firing 5-under 67. Meanwhile, defending champion Bernhard Langer is currently tied at 6th after posting 4-under 68.
