PGA Tour Champions: Steve Stricker fires 65 at the 1st round of Insperity Invitational

A couple weeks before Thanksgiving, Steve Stricker was struck with an illness that is still a mystery to him and his doctors. But this Friday, Stricker fired a 7-under 65 in his return to competitive golf to tie for the lead with Ernie Els and Steve Alker after the 1st round of the PGA Tour Champions Insperity Invitational. Stricker lost considerable weight while suffering from a condition that caused inflammation around his heart. His last Champions victory was at the Senior Players Championship last June while he has 7 wins on the senior circuit and 12 on the PGA Tour.
