Jin Young Ko shoots 64 after 1st round at Palos Verdes Championship

Jin Young Ko is looking to bounce back from a dismal showing from last week's DIO Implant LA Open. With 6 consecutive birdies on Nos. 2-7, it gave her an opening 7-under 64 at the inaugural Palos Verdes Championship presented by Bank of America and she’s one shot off the pace of leader Minjee Lee. A new kind of challenge also suited Ko, who looked to turn the page quickly on last week’s disaster. Meanwhile, Charley Hull, Moriya Jutanugarn and Jennifer Chang shot 65.
