After recently tweaking his back, Justin Thomas will take a rest thus withdrawing from the field at the 2022 Travelers Championship. Recently winning the PGA Championship last May, Thomas was scheduled to play in the pro-am at TPC River Highlands but pulled out to rest his injury and initially remained in the tournament but eventually withdrew with an abundance of caution. His replacement is Japanese pro Satoshi Kodaira, who has 7 wins on the Japan Golf Tour and 1 PGA Tour win at the 2018 RBC Heritage.
