Mexico Open: Jon Rahm scores 66, takes lead after 2 rounds
Eight birdies including his tee shot to 3 feet at the par-3 ninth hole was enough to catapult World #2 Jon Rahm into the leaderboards by the end of the 2nd round at the 2022 Mexico Open. Rahm’s card contained a few hiccups along the way, including 3 bogeys at #2, 10 and 16. Nevertheless, he's still in the lead by 2 shots over Alex Smalley thanks to that wonderful 8 birdies. Rahm is seeking his first win since last June at the U.S. Open and hasn’t missed a cut since the Fortinet Championship at the season-opener in September.
