Sam Burns captures 3rd Tour win, nails the 2022 Valspar title

It was a dramatic and exciting finish by Sam Burns after a 33-foot birdie putt that caught the left corner and circled the cup on the second playoff to beat rookie Davis Riley at the 2022 Valspar Championship. Burns, who successfully defended his title en route to his 3rd PGA Tour win, had a final-round 2-under 69 and matched his winning 72-hole total of a year ago at 17-under 267. Having already won the Sanderson Farms Championship in October, Burns became the fourth multiple winner on Tour this season.
