Neck injury forces Louis Oosthuizen to withdraw from the 2022 Masters

Louis Oosthuizen withdrew Friday morning before his scheduled tee time at the 2022 Masters Tournament in Augusta National. He grabbed his back after hitting his tee shot on the third hole in Thursday’s first round. He labored throughout his round of 4-over 76; he made two double bogeys, 3 bogeys, and 3 birdies. The official release from the Masters said Oosthuizen’s withdrawal was due to an injury, and was eventually confirmed by Oosthuizen's team that his neck was so stiff this morning he couldn’t swing a club.
