Nelly Korda underwent successful surgery on her left arm

#2 ranked Nelly Korda announced on social media that she recently underwent surgery for a blood clot in a subclavian vein in her left arm. She first posted about the blood clot on March 13 and withdrew from the next two events in California, including the Chevron Championship, the season’s first major. In 2021, Korda won four times on the LPGA as well as Olympic gold in Tokyo and was named Female Player of the Year by the Golf Writers Association of America. She also revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19 in the 2nd week of January which ‘kept her off her feet for some time' before the LPGA season started.
