LPGA Tour: Jin Young Ko out of the 2022 Portland Classic due to injury

World #1 Jin Young Ko will not be in the field this week to defend her title at the AmazingCre Portland Classic, to be held at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club. According to reports, Ko is out due to a recurring wrist injury and will likely return to competition in late October, probably at the BMW Ladies Championship in South Korea. Ko will also miss the Ascendant LPGA event in Texas later this month, and event which she won last year. She has held the top spot since January 31, 2022 on a total of 138 weeks.
