Famed golf journalist Tim Rosaforte passed away this past January due to Alzheimer’s Disease and this week at the Honda Classic at PGA National, players in the field are donning purple ribbons with “Rosie” written across them. Meanwhile, Larry Dorman, Rosaforte's long-time friend, was honored earlier this week with the 2nd Tim Rosaforte Distinguished Writers’ Award. Rosaforte's recent passing quickly reverberated throughout the golf world and his absence has been felt by all.

Check out some photos of the player's field at the Honda Classic wearing ‘Rosie' ribbons.
