The 2021 Yancy Ford winner is none other than Gene Elliott

Golfweek.com presents the Yancy Ford award yearly to an individual who has made significant contributions to senior-amateur golf. Gene Elliott, a Bettendorf, Iowa native who has created an impact well beyond the Hawkeye state, may just be the most fitting recipient of the award. Also, it’s what Elliott has done off the course, mainly helping save the Iowa Golf Association (IGA) back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, playing a a big part of what the IGA has become. Elliott’s 30-plus years of growing the game in the Hawkeye state and around the world, has now been formally recognized.
