Tim Rosaforte, golf’s first true insider who rose to popularity on Golf Channel and NBC Sports, died Tuesday of Alzheimer’s Disease. He was 66. Rosaforte became the first journalist to be named an honorary member of the PGA of America. Rosaforte meant a lot to even more people, and the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Annika Sorenstam and countless colleagues all took to social media to pay their respects. Also, the Honda Classic named its media room after Rosaforte and created the Tim Rosaforte Distinguished Writers’ Award.
