Hall-of-Famer Ernie Els captures 1st PGA Tour Champions title

The Big Easy scores another big win and this time it's his first at the PGA Tour Champions, and he did that in just his 3rd start. Els won the 2020 Hoag Classic at the Newport Beach Country Club in California, scoring a total of 197 (16-under par) including 67 in the last round defeating Fred Couples, Robert Karlsson and Glen Day (all T2) via 2 strokes. He lost his last appearance at PGA Tour Champions in January this year, at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship which was won by Miguel Jimenez Rodriguez via playoff rounds.
