In designing the iconic 16th of Cypress Point Club, Marion Hollins wanted to give golfers the most thrilling shot in golf’s golden age. She was among the most influential sportswomen of the 20th Century but only a few still knew of what she's done to the golf world. Beyond golf, Hollins was a renowned polo player, four-in-hand driver of horse carriages, race-car driver, equestrienne and suffragette, marching for the woman’s right to vote. She also established the Pebble Beach Golf Championship for Women, which attracted some of the finest competitors in the land.
