Shanks, toes, tops, thins, even whiffs; contact errors are the kind of disaster shots we all know and hate. When golfers talk about mis-hits, they think about them in directional terms. Putting the clubface on the ball relatively consistently, resulting into not hitting chunks, tops and shanks, playing golf will become a lot easier. The simple fix is this: try starting with a small and soft chip shot, then gradually work your way up. Another is by hitting some drives off the heel then some off the toe, helping your brain calibrate each end of the club thus, making it easier to find the center when the time does come.
