2022 PGA Championship: Tiger Woods withdraws from the field

To much of a surprise, Tiger Woods withdrew from the 2022 PGA Championship after round 3, hours after shooting 9-over 79 in at Southern Hills. Woods was competing in just his 2nd official tournament since suffering major injuries in a car accident in February 2021, outside Los Angeles. He posted rounds of 74-69-79 in his three rounds at Southern Hills this week. Hopefully, he will be in action again as he announced previously that he intends to play at the Open Championship at St. Andrews, wherein he won twice at the Open.
