Jon Rahm tests positive for COVID19; withdraws from the Memorial Tournament

It's a very unfortunate time for Jon Rahm as he is forced to withdraw from the 2021 Memorial Tournament. Rahm, the reigning champion, was playing in the 3rd round on a 6-shot lead when PGA Tour's medical doctor approached him to deliver the bad news; testing positive for COVID19 and had to pull out from the field. Rahm was tested after he came in contact with a COVID-positive individual and will undergo the 10-day quarantine period as per CDC guidelines.
