Tony Finau claims the lead after one at the Charles Schwab Challenge

Tony Finau finished the opening round of the Charles Schwab Challenge on a strong note, firing a 6-under 64. Despite a windy weather, Finau displayed a fiery start to take the lead over Jordan Spieth. Famous for the ‘claw', Finau made multiple birdies including a 20-footer on the 16th hole, eventually grabbing the lead. Both Spieth and Canadian Roger Sloan were tied and 2nd, both totaling at 65.
