Xander Schauffele might be the happiest golfer at the moment as he won the gold medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, becoming the first American since 1900 to do so. It was an up-and-down showdown between him and Rory Sabbatini of Slovakia, which saw Schauffele squander a 4-stoke lead. Eventually, Schauffele made a birdie to take home the gold on a 1-stroke lead over Sabbatini and finished with a total of 18-under 266 (final round 67). It was a hard-fought win for Schauffele but getting that gold medal was the important part of it.
