Nelly Korda out of the Chevron Championship to treat blood clot in arm

World #2 Nelly Korda will not compete in the year’s first major at the 2022 Chevron Championship. Korda announced on social media that she's been diagnosed with blood clot in her arm, and she's at home taking a rest. Originally scheduled to compete in the JTBC after taking off the Asian swing, Korda last teed it up on the LPGA in early February at the LPGA Drive On Championship. She had an impressive 2021, having won 4 times on the LPGA including the Olympic gold in Tokyo, and was named Female Player of the Year by the Golf Writers Association of America.
