Gary Woodland, the 2019 US Open winner, is out of the 2022 Shriners field as he was forced to withdraw his name due to a back injury. Woodland shot an opening-round 68 at TPC Summerlin and began his 2nd round with a triple-bogey on par-4 11th hole. He eventually made birdies on #12, 14 and 16 before making par at 17, making it his last hole before he withdrew just before the round ended. Woodland missed the cut last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship while finishing at T-64 at the season-opening Fortinet Championship.
