One easy home-practice drill is the pivot drill, which helps you get your turn and weight shift in sync and will help you hit powerful, solid shots. All you need for this drill is a medicine ball and a partner. Once you have those elements in place, line up in your golf posture holding the ball between your hands as if you were about to hit a shot. Then make a backswing about halfway to the top and then begin to shift your weight forward to turn and throw the ball to your partner. This drill will teach your body the proper feel of a solid pivot and add strength to your core that will produce more power in your swing.
