Viktor Hovland out of the US Open with an eye injury
Norweigan pro Viktor Hovland's chances of winning a major title will have to wait as he withdrew from the 2021 US Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course. According to sources, an eye injury is what caused the 2-time PGA Tour winner to pull out from the tournament after posting an opening round 74 including 4 bogeys. Hovland suffered the eye injury during his warm up session to which the sand got in his left eye.
