Shane Lowry was victorious after a brilliant final round, scoring with a 65 to win the 2022 BMW PGA Championship, the DP World Tour’s flagship event. The tournament was shortened to 54 holes with no play after the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II last Thursday. Lowry defeated Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm by 1 stroke, and had a good 3-round run without recording a bogey. Lowry also became the first Irishman (2nd all-time) to win the BMW PGA Championship since Harry Bradshaw in 1958.
