Latin America Amateur returns; winner gets Masters ticket
After being canceled in 2021 due to COVID-19, the Latin America Amateur Championship returns and the winner gets a guaranteed invite to the Masters, The Open Championship, and both the U.S. and British Amateur Championships. Heading into this year, Mateo Fernandez de Oliveira is the highest-ranked amateur player and is currently 43rd in the world. The youngest player is Ezequiel Cabrera a 14-year-old Paraguayan while the oldest is 53-year-old Costa Rican veteran Álvaro Ortiz.
