JR Smith to make golf debut at the Phoenix Invitational

Former NBA star JR Smith will be making his collegiate golf debut at the 2021 Phoenix Invitational, hosted by Elon University. Smith is a 2-time NBA Champion with the Cleveland Cavaliers (2016) & Los Angeles Lakers (2020) and after playing for 16 seasons, he retired and shifted his focus in golf. Currently, Smith is enrolled at North Carolina A&T (degree in liberal studies) and part of the Aggies golf team.
