Golf Writers Association of America names the Players of the Year for 2021

The Golf Writers Association of America have named Collin Morikawa Male Player of the Year, Nelly Korda Female Player of the Year and Phil Mickelson Senior Player of the Year for 2021. Morikawa garnered 48 percent of the vote while Jon Rahm was second with 37 percent. Korda won 72% of the vote after winning 4 times including her first major at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and also the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics. For Mickelson, he won his sixth major in 2021 and became the first golfer over the age 50 to win a major at the PGA Championship, and got 59 % of the vote.
