American golf course desinger and 1-time PGA Tour winner Forrest Fezzler died Friday (Dec.21) after losing his battle to brain cancer. He was 69 years of age. Fezzler won the PGA Rookie of the Year award in 1973 and his lone PGA Tour win came in 1974, his best year as a professional, at the Southern Open. But injuries limited his game as years went by and he switched to golf course design since year 1994. He's also known for wearing shorts, particularly during the 1983 US Open which drew protest from the PGA Tour.
