Currently sitting at #2 in the official rankings, Cameron Smith will be sidelined for just a bit. Smith withdrew from the BMW Championship at Wilmington Country Club after dealing with some on and off hip discomfort, which he has been nursing for months. He's also one of the favorites to win the FedEx Cup and is in the running for PGA Tour Player of the Year, but has been in the news recently regarding issues at LIV Golf. At the FedEx St. Jude Championship, Smith was penalized two strokes for improper ball placement on the fourth hole during his third round, thus taking him off of 2 strokes of the lead to finish at T13.
