Looking back at the ladies that competed in men’s golf
Only a few women have competed in men's professional golf and it panned out in a good way though as these women proved to be a legitimate competitor against men. Who would ever forget Babe Zaharias, the first woman ever to be qualified and play in men's golf, who played at the 1938 Los Angeles Open and the Swedish legend Annika Sorenstam who participated at PGA Tour's Bank of America Colonial (2003) despite drawing heavy criticism from Vijay Singh.
