It’s easy for golfers to get lost in the weeds of what a backswing actually is: A sequence of tilting, turning and bending. If you're looking to clean up your backswing, there's a few numbers (3 to be exact) that golfers should keep in mind: 44 degrees, 89 degrees and 36 degrees. A big, unrestricted hip turn is the key to more power and longer drives, and the more you turn your hips, the easier it’ll be to turn your shoulders. And you have to maintain some shoulder tilt too, and it's by turning your left shoulder down towards the ground.
