Tony Romo nets a 79 opening round in Puntacana

Retired NFL quarterback Tony Romo was feeling comfortable after round 1 at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship. Romo posted a 7-over 79 but he made bogeys on his first 3 holes and also on the 8th and 13th. Eventually, he dropped to last place after windy conditions forced him to par at the 18th. Though he had a rough 1st round, Romo said that he's playing better compared to last year and hopes to bounce back on the next round.
