One of the 13 founders of the LPGA in 1950, Marilynn Smith, has died at the age of 89, 4 days before her birthday. Smith was also a former professional golfer having won 21 times at the LPGA Tour including multiple victories at the Titleholders Championship, and was a Hall of Famer inductee in 2006. Also, Smith was the first woman the work for a men's golf TV broadcast and was the LPGA President from 1958 to 1960.
