Alice Dye, 1927-2019

Known as the ‘First Lady' of golf architecture, Alice Dye passed away Friday at the age of 91 years. Her notable course designs were TPC Sawgrass, PGA West in California, Crooked Stick Golf Club in Indiana and Whistling Straits in Wisconsin among others. Her husband is Peter Dye who's also a golf course designer whom she has 2 children. Aside from being a golf course designer, she was a former amateur golfer having won the US Senior Women's Amateur in 1978 and 1979.
